According to transfers expert Fabrizio Romano, Inter have submitted a new offer in the hopes of reaching an agreement with Chelsea. It's worth pointing out that the Blues had already rejected a deal for Big Rom, reportedly worth 5 million euros plus a 2 million add on, as they expected better terms on the loan deal that would take him back to the club he left just 12 months ago.

Now, news is Inter have upped their bid, reaching 8 million euros plus addons, which is reported to have been accepted by Chelsea. With Lukaku having already agreed personal terms with Inter, it seems now all that remains is for the clubs to iron out the details.

It's worth pointing out that there is allegedly no option or obligation to buy in the loan deal, meaning Lukaku should return to Chelsea after the loan is done if the clubs fail to extend the deal, as his current contract with the Blues runs until 2026.

Romelu Lukaku joined Inter originally in 2019 from Manchester United on a deal reported to be worth 74 million euros. He scored 64 goals and provided 16 assits for the Nerazzurri in 95 matches across all competitions, and will be a welcomed return to the three-time European champions.
