REFUSED AGAIN? Ronaldo linked with a TOP CLUB but they REJECTED HIM
"Cristiano Ronaldo is NOT for sale, he is in our plans - he's not with us due to personal issues. We are planning with Cristiano Ronaldo for this season", that's what Erik ten Hag said when he last spoke about his biggest star potentionally looking to move from Manchester United, and yet, rumours persist.
The higher ups at Bayern Munich and Barcelona have admitted they had talks to sign the player, and now a third suitor has appeared, although they've already given their answer: Paris Saint Germain.
According to Paris newspaper Le Parisien, there has been a meeting between the decision-makers at PSG and the agent of CR7, Jorge Mendes. The Portuguese forward has been pushing for a move away from the Red Devils, as he is keen on playing the Champions League, and he's been excused from the club's pre season tour on "personal issues".
However, the answer from Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and the new Sporting Director Luis Campos has been a resounding NO. As reported by the French newspaper, PSG believe they have no room in their squad for a player with the wage and minute demands as Cristiano Ronaldo.
With Al-Khelaïfi recently calling for an end for the "glamour" era at PSG, looking for determined winners, Ronaldo may be at odds with this new policy, as despite being one of the most dedicated players in the world, he's also one who brings a lot of press attention and controversies.
As things stand now, it's looking like there will be few suitors for Cristiano Ronaldo, following rejection from Bayern Munich, now PSG, and with Barcelona priotising other targets, which leaves us at a 0 from 3 clubs linked with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
