This is entirely the opposite of what happens with him at club level, at Real Madrid, where the striker seems to be unhappy, but comfortable without playing, as he took part in just 5 games out of 38, scoring one goal and watching almost every match on the bench laughing with another teammate. Somehow, Gareth Bale is not the same person in the Spanish capital as the one who enjoys football with his country.

He even tried to recover his confidence and his level in his former club Tottenham, where he returned on loan in the 20-21 season. He managed to score 16 goals in 34 games, but this wasn't enough to convince Spurs to pay Bale's entire salary, so he returned to Spain.

"I'm not going to retire, I am playing the World Cup and have many club's offers" These were Gareth's words. We don't know where will he end up playing, but we all wish he gets back on the level that made Real pay 101 million euros for him, back in 2013.
