It's good news for the Anfield crowd: Fabinho will be ready for the Champions League final in Paris. Jürgen Klopp confirmed one of his most important players will recover on time to face Real Madrid at the big date.

"He'll definetely be back for the final, and for the Chelsea final. Before that, we don't know", the German manager confirmed. "[He is] absolutely OK. Fab is a professional, he was obviously not happy about it, that's clear, but he took it and is already taking on the fight against time, if you want. That's how it is".

The midfielder had suffered a muscle injury at Villa Park in the middle of the week and set off alarm bells at Anfield. The manager also stressed how it's not a matter of being ready on the big day, but also being ready for the preparation that takes place before: "It is not enough if you are ready on Friday before the final, it should be Tuesday or Wednesday or something like that and we are working on that and we are all very positive that it will be the case. So he is absolutely OK."
