In the world, there are emblematic, mythical, and gigantic stadiums. The Maracana in Brazil, the Santiago Bernabeu in Spain, the Bombonera in Argentina, and the Anfield stadium in England, among others. Most of the stadiums tend to have the same style, with small differences, but they are usually built with the same basics. On the other hand, there are other "different" stadiums, with unusual characteristics or located in very strange locations. Therefore, here we will show you some of the rarest stadiums in world football.

Ciernom Balogu Municipal Stadium (Slovakia)

Obviously, the location of the stadium is a very important part when it comes to building it. The newer stadiums are usually far from the big cities, to favor car traffic. But this stadium of TJ Tatran Cierny Balog  was built right in the middle of a train track. The train is called "Ciernahroska" and daily, it carries many passengers, who for a few seconds, pass right between the grandstand and the football field. At first, the matches were stopped until the train finished passing and until the smoke from the locomotive cleared. But over the years, the players and the fans got used to this situation and directly continue to play.

Henningsvær Idrettslag Stadium (Norway)

The sports field is located in the town of Henningsvær, a small fishing village with less than 500 inhabitants, located in the north of the Nordic country. However, despite the small size of the group of rocky islands (0.3 km²), it has a football field called Henningsvær Stadium. It is made with artificial grass, it does not have stands and it has lighting. Currently, it is not used to play professional games (since the balls would fall into the water), only amateurishly and for the fun of children. Possibly the place to play football with one of the best views in the entire world.

Daniel Alcides Carrión Stadium (Peru)

Although this Peruvian stadium is not "extravagant", it is built on a different surface. This stadium is located in the Peruvian city of Cerro de Pasco located at 4378 meters above sea level. As recognized by FIFA in its official magazine, no stadium is located at a higher altitude than this. It surpasses in height, by far, the Hernando Siles stadium in La Paz, the Atahualpa stadium in Quito, the Campín stadium in Bogotá, and the Azteca Stadium in Mexico. It has a capacity of 8,000 people. It currently hosts Copa Perú matches and those of the Cerro de Pasco League. The problem with playing at altitude is that when you exceed 3,000 meters, what is called "altitude sickness" occurs. Few do not suffer the consequences, while the rest may suffer from symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, lack of appetite, gastrointestinal disorders and vomiting.

Eco Janguito Malucelli Stadium (Brazil)

This place is known for being the first ecological stadium in the world. It was built in 2007 and has a capacity of 3,150 people. The stands of the stadium are located on a hillside and the benches are made of wood. It is located within Barigui Park and the purpose of its existence is to cause the least possible environmental impact. It was named the greenest field in the world by the British newspaper "The Guardian" in 2010 and even the teams of Nigeria, Ecuador and Russia used it as a training ground during the 2014 World Cup.
