Arsenal destroyed Chelsea in the Florida Cup final with a performance that could be a breaking point: It finally seems that this team could be the one that makes fans remember the invincibles of the early 2000s, and a return to glory at the Emirates.

The Invincibles, arguably Arsenal's greatest team ever

Mikel Arteta's team played amazing football during the pre-season. They won every single game out of the five matches they played, beating Ipswich Town, Orlando City, Nürnberg, Everton, and Chelsea.

All these matches got something in common: the quick appearance of all the new signings. First of all, we have to mention Gabriel Jesus, the Brazilian who fits perfectly in the Spanish manager's plans, as he likes to play with only one striker in front of five offensive midfielders.

The former ManCity player scored four goals in four matches played with the Gunners and gives Arteta the mobility, finishing, ball control, and speed he needs in that one striker of the 4-2-3-1 formation.

Meanwhile, the stunning form of Martin Odegaard, Buyako Saka, and Gabriel Martinelli means they have finally reached the necessary maturation and experience to give the team the quality they need to assist and score more to reach a Champions League spot, and, why not fight for the Premier League.

As if this was not enough, Gunners also spent 35M on another City Player, Zinchenko, who provides the solidness and attacking work rates Arteta needed on the left back, as Tierney keeps getting injuries and Nuno Tavares fails to improve his low level.

A strong ball control in the attacking area, effectiveness in the striking zone, solid defenders such as Gabriel and Saliba, and a strong midfield with Xhaka and Thomas are the keys to this new Arsenal, that give fans hope of having a team that can make them believe of fighting in both England and Europe, as The Invincibles did 20 years ago.
