At one point, Willian looked to be on the same level as some of the top stars of his generation, and while that may have been true at some point, the last few years of his career have been nothing but

Cast out of Arsenal due to poor performances, he returned to youth club Corinthians for a bid at winning the Copa Libertadores. However, Willian only managed a goal and four assists in 36 matches for the club, and now the Sao Paulo team are out of the competition having failed to impress. But things have become even worse.

Facing continous threats to his life, Willian asked for Corinthians to break his contract so he could move away.  "The reason for my exit is the threats my family and I have suffered. They never stopped... Whenever Corinthians lost, and if I didn't play well, my family and I received threats and insults on social networks. They started with my wife, my daughters and after a while they did it with my father and my sister", explained the Brazilian star.

"My goal is to live abroad, in London",  commented the former Shakhtar Donetsk man, "I have a British passport, so I can live and live there with my family, that's my goal. I don't have a club yet. I will decide there". According to reports, newly promoted Fulham is eager to bring the attacker back to the Premier League. Willian played with rival team Chelsea for seven years in West London, winning five major awards there, including two Premier League titles.
