Nike dropped the new Brazil kits... but you CAN'T buy the away shirt for now!

The American brand launched the new Qatar 2022 kits for the Canarinha, but something fun happened

Martes 9 Ago 2022

Nike launched the new Brazil shirt for the Qatar 2022 World Cup... and the away shirt sold out in web stores in just one hour! The public response to the new alternate kit was massive. For the first time in years it can be said that Nike got a bit more creative with the Brazilian shirts, and it showed with the public's reaction

It is not the fault of the American brand, since by regulation there is not much to do: the home kit must always be yellow with green touches and the away blue with white touches. However, this time the CBF (Confederaçao Brasileira de Futebol) allowed Nike to let their imagination fly this time.

In the home shirt we see a simple and conservative design adjusted to what Nike has been launching in this 2022: yellow shirt with a bow on the main body, with green cuffs and collar. The strongest point of this kit is the button-down collar and the weave, animal print style.

However, the away shirt is the usual blue, but also incorporates other elements such as an animal print pattern on a green background on the sleeves. This shirt is the big star of the launch, since Nike prepared a series of promotional videos that took effect. It's been a while since this dedication from Nike has been seen in Brazil, with the American brand doing a far better job with the Nigerian National Team, for example.

Now, TV network TNT Sports Brazil reports that  the blue shirt was sold out in just one hour in the Nike Brazil web store. It is no longer listed for purchase, not even with the sold out sign. They removed it because they ran out of shirts.

The jerseys were announced this Sunday, August 7, but just went on sale at Nike Brazil this Monday, August 8. The hype that was generated was overwhelming and Nike has once again had great success with Brazil, with whom they will seek the sixth World Cup in Qatar in November 2022.
