"Only I can speak": Zidane representative on PSG rumours
Alain Migliaccio, the representative of Zinedine Zidane, spoke about the rumours linking him to PSG on a record contract
The rumour mill regarding who will be the new PSG manager keeps on going. Recently it had come up that OGC Nice's Christophe Galtier was the favourite to take the position, only for the rumour of Zinedine Zidane being the leading candidate to (once again) come up.
The former Real Madrid manager had been allegedly backed by the Emir of Qatar and rumours had it he was offered a massive contract by PSG, reportedly of 25 million euros for two seasons, which would have made him the best paid manager in the world. However, this has been shot down rather emphatically.
Talking with French newspaper L'Equipe, Alain Migliaccio, the representative of Zizou, made it clear that there was no such offer: "All these rumors about an agreement with PSG are unfounded. Neither Zinedine nor I have been contacted directly by the PSG owner".
Migliaccio was also on the offensive against people who spread made up rumours, insisting that any news regarding Zidane would have to come from him, and nobody else. "I'm the only one allowed to speak for Zidane and represent him, as of today". he pointed out.
Three-time Champions League winning manager Zidane has been unemployed since leaving Real Madrid for the second time in 2021. Many saw the position at PSG as a potential perfect job for the 1998-World-Cup-winner, as the Parisian club is looking to build a side to put French football at the forefront of the world, but apparently it is not to be.
