Paris Saint Germain know now boundaries. The Parisian outfit is dominating in the Ligue 1, the French top flight, with their star-filled attack of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe flying high. However, manager Christophe Galtier wants to keep the high times rolling, and after missing on Inter Milan's defender Milan Skriniar, he has other plans for reinforcing the defence: Chelsea's Ngolo Kanté.

The Blues have had a shaky start to the season, and manager Thomas Tuchel isn't very happy. The German knows his team is lacking some pieces after the several departures they've had and the failure to secure some of their summer targets, and now they could lose another key piece.

Kante has just one year remaining in his contract, and his future is unknown, with no talks of a contract renewal in the way after Tuchel let it slide he may be done with the French midfielder's injury record. "You cannot (disregard the injury record)", pointed out the German manager recently, "You have to consider everything that is on the table, and on the table is his potential, on the table is his influence, and his quality. But on the table of course is his age, his salary and his injury rate, of course. From there you build a whole picture and try to find a solution".

There are no offers on the table for now, but with two days remaining in the transfer window, PSG could strike if they smell an opportunity. Otherwise, Ngolo Kante would be free to talk with other clubs as early as January next year.
