"It's no secret": PSG president CONFIRMS the next manager of the club
The PSG president spoke with the media and his answer was clear
For the past month or so, figuering out who will be the next manager of Paris Saint Germain has been like one of those detective board games... will it be Zidane cause the Emir backs him? Will it be Amorim cause he's Luis Campos' favourite? What about Pochettino who says he's yet to be sacked? Any guess was as good as the next. However, after Zidane was cleared off the table, it may be now that we have just one possibility: Christophe Galtier.
Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the president of PSG, spoke with Parisian newspaper Le Parisien and he was clear about it: not Zidane. The news that the former Juventus and Real Madrid legend wouldn't be the chosen one for the job broke before, as RMC Sport confirmed Zizou was eyeing the French National Team job post-Qatar 2022.
However, now we have official confirmation. "I love Zidane but we've never spoken with him. Many clubs are interested in him, national teams as well - not us", said Al-Khelaïfi in his interview with the Paris newspaper. It wasn't the only thing he said though.
Far from only crushing fake rumours, the PSG president was clear on who he hopes will be the next manager of the club. "Galtier?", Al-Khelaïfi said, "We are in talks with Nice, it's no secret. I hope we'll reach an agreement soon".
With this, the novella ends and the cards are on the table. Should no surprises meddle, Christophe Galtier will be the next manager of Paris Saint Germain. It's sure to be welcomed for PSG fans, who have heard a myriad of names since it became clear Pochettino would not carry on.
