Nottingham Forest will be back in the Premier League for the first time in 23 years and the fans know it's the time to celebrate.

The club shared on their social media accounts images of the welcoming celebration the fans threw for their players, after the Reds won their Play Off final against Huddersfield Town, sending them back into the top tier for the first time since 1999.

Thousands of fans gathered at Nottingham's Market Square to celebrate and congratulate their team on the historic promotion, in an event  comedian and lifelong Forest supporter Matt Forde and BBC Radio Nottingham commentator Colin Fray.

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper was amazed by the reception"To all the Nottingham Forest supporters, welcome back to the Premier League", he said. "I cannot think of a more deserving set of supporters - every single game at the City Ground, every single away game - sell-out, dominate every stadium, you are the best."

For midfieler Ryan Yates, the support of the fans was one of the keys for the Reds during the season: "The support you've given us throughout the season - it's been absolutely unbelievable." He added: "Honestly, it means everything to me but, more importantly, to you guys [the supporters]".
