The Magpies are one of the richest club in England, but they weren't showing it until now

Lunes 1 Ago 2022

Whenver a club gets a rich new owner, you know they're about to make some of the craziest moves in the market. However, despite getting quite possibly the richest owner in football, Newcastle United have been surprisingly blasé about it, doing cheap, smart business over big, flashy signings. But it looks like it all could be over soon.

That's because according to the latest reports, the Magpies are going after one of the best English players in the game, James Maddison. Now, Newcastle United want him to be the jewel in the crown of their new project, and are ready to flex their newly acquired financial muscle for it. According to reports, they have submitted a bid for Maddison worth £50 million euros for the complete package.

However, despite receiving an offer that would double what the Foxes paid for Maddison, they're all none too fussed about it at the King Power Stadium. "He is really pivotal to us", explained Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers, "There is no way I would want to sell him. £40m bid? I think it might just cover three-quarters of his left leg".
