IMPOSSIBLE FEE: PSG asking DOUBLE the record transfer for Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe is set on leaving Paris Saint Germain for Real Madrid, but the Parisian outfit won't make it easy for him. The French striker set off every alarm this week, when the unstoppable rumour that he had asked the Parisian outfit to be allowed to leave as soon as possible was all over the news. However, he renewed his link with the club last season, so whoever gets Mbappe will have to fork out a world record transfer fee to do so.

The French player, who renewed his contract with PSG in May, wants to play football in a positive environment. Disappointed with club president Nasser Al Khelaifi after feeling none of the promises they made him (incluiding the selling of Neymar) were fulfilled, Mbappe is looking for a way out of Paris.

His favoured destination is the one we knew about all along, Real Madrid. The former AS Monaco player had a very long drawn transfer saga linking him with the Merengue outfit before the transfer market opened, but eventually decided to renovate with PSG after a record contract and a number of key promises were made to him. Now, disappointed, he turns his head again towards Madrid, but the cost will be massive.

According to several sources in Spanish media, the French club is asking Real Madrid for an incredible 400 million euros for the transfer of Kylian Mbappe, a figure that nearly doubles the current record transfer fee, paid by PSG for Neymar in 2017. It also more than doubles the 180 million the Paris team paid for Mbappe back in 2018.

In the middle of this fight between the millionaire clubs is none other than Luis Campos. The Portuguese sporting director, who works as a football advisor for PSG, will most likely be the head that rolls if Kylian Mbappe does indeed leave the club. He was the main responsible behind the hiring of current coach Christophe Galtier, and was one of the minds that worked the contract that kept the French superstar in the club. For now, however, things remain as they were.
