Eric Cantona won't stand for Manchester United if they ever change the name to their stadium. The Frenchman is synonimous with the Red Devils, having scored 81 goals in 181 games for the Old Trafford side. However, he won't allow to the club to fall into any of the modern football "non sense", particularly when it comes to that very same ground.

The Manchester United legend has recently started Looking FC, a travel agency that specialises in football experiences at some of Europe's most prestigious stadiums. In a recent interview with football website The Athletic, Cantona declared that if Old Trafford is ever renamed, he will "leave football forever".

"The trips are about going inside the passion of football, understanding the story of a club, how football is used, then how you live your life", explained Cantona, "We were speaking about my favourite football stadiums earlier but now all the stadiums are called Emirates or Allianz".

According to the former Olympique de Marseille and Leeds United man, these changes are in part to be blamed for the loss of football's identity: "These stadiums lost the soul and history of the club, like Arsenal and West Ham. I played at those old stadiums, like Highbury and Upton Park. I spoke with some Arsenal fans and they hate these new stadiums. These fans lost the soul of their clubs".

"Fortunately, Old Trafford is still Old Trafford. Anfield is still Anfield", added Eric Cantona, before making a daring claim: "If one day they do that, I am sorry but I am not a fan of United anymore. And I quit football forever!".
