BRAZILIAN FLAIR: United and Ten Hag after two BRILLIANT young stars

There have been little news for the Red Devils lately, but this is sure to get their fans going

Manchester United is having a tricky transfer window. The Frenkie de Jong saga is drawing longer and longer and the optimism of the Erik ten Hag announcement may soon start to fade off if there are no other news. So far, the club has only seen players either return from loan, like Anthony Martial or Andreas Pereira, or leave on a free, like Edinson Cavani, Nemanja Matic and most notably Paul Pogba.

However, there could be some good news very soon, as according to various media in the UK, the Red Devils are close to sealing the deal for two Brazilian young stars: Ajax's Anthony and Porto's Evanilson.

In the case of Antony, the Daily Mail is claiming everything is agreed between all three parties. The 22 year old Brazilian can play as a winger on either side of the pitch, and he shined brightly with Ten Hag at Ajax. He would reportedly be looking forward to rejoining his former manager at such a big club as Manchester United. While there are some mixed up signals according to the numbers, most sources agreed the deal would go through for 60 million euros.

With Evanilson, things are a little trickier. Porto has allegedly rejected United's last offer, reported to be around 60 million euros, but signs are that the Portuguese club know they will eventually have to budge and let the 22 year old depart. An out-and-out striker, he would come as a replacement to Cavani, a spot that was supposed to be for Darwin Nuñez before Liverpool swooped in.

In terms of figures, Antony has been with Ajax since joining from Sao Paulo in 2020, and has scored 12 and assisted 10 in 32 matches for the Amsterdam club last season. Evanilson, on the other hand, scored 21 goals across all competitions for Porto, playing 45 matches.
