"They owe him their success": Klopp back STRONGLY amid sack whispers

The German manager is facing a hard time at Liverpool and some are asking for his head, but a Liverpool legend says it's all too soon

Jurgen Klopp is living his worst time as Liverpool manager since he first took over the team in 2015. In this context, someone with plenty of experience when it comes to defending that red shirt at Anfield spoke; his name is Jamie Carragher and he's quite incredulous of how quick the Liverpool fans have forgotten about what Jurgen Klopp did for the club and what he brings to the table.

"There is no coach more qualified to reverse Liverpool's poor form", explained Carragher, who then insisted the German has been the differential at Anfield more than anyone else, "'Liverpool's owners oversaw an unsuccessful period before Klopp. There are still some Liverpool players who joined the club before Klopp. They too owe their success to him".

For Carragher, unless something changes, it should be Klopp who rebuilds his Liverpool squad: "While Klopp is in charge, Liverpool will never be like Chelsea or other clubs who see no prospect of a coach reversing a slide". And while he admits this could be needed before many predicted, it's Klopp who's best positioned to do it. "A rebuild may be upon Klopp sooner than anticipated", pointed out Carragher, "Nothing in his demeanour suggests he lacks the appetite for the challenge".

However, for Jamie Carragher the main issue at Anfield isn't the lack of signings or the failure of the tactics; it's that for the first time since Jurgen Klopp took over, Liverpool are getting out-run: "Energy has been sorely missing as Liverpool have become easy to play this season. Every Liverpool opponent has outrun them in their seven games so far. That is more worrying than the results".
