Lisandro Martinez is a wanted man in Premier League, as his old manager Erik Ten Hag and Mikel Arteta are fighting for the Argentinian, who told Ajax recently that he wants a move to England.

Manchester United and Arsenal's interests are not a surprise. Everyone wants a player who can develop in two key roles on the team: central midfielder and central back. Former Defensa y Justicia player knows the roles and performs well in both of them during his time at Amsterdam.

Since his arrival from a 7M Euros fee back in 2019, Martínez was assigned a huge task: replace Matthijs De Ligt. That's how he started his journey in Europe as a defender, and make Ten Hag fall in love with him instantly.

That is the reason for his stunning numbers in the Eredivisie, as he was the player with the most passes completed per match, and the third one in touches on the opposite half and forward by playing as a midfielder.

There's no doubt. Lisandro certainly got what it takes to play Premier League football: Quality, intelligence, movement, and speed. He will perform in any team he plays, but a player of this level is not cheap. His market value is around 35M Euros.

Nevertheless, both Red Devils and Gunners can afford that price and that type of player to finally get back in the top flight, so we will have to wait in order to know where the Argentinian ends: London, or Manchester.
