Mbappe's gonna be FURIOUS: He wanted him at PSG but he's staying at Inter

Paris Saint Germain is about to miss out on Milan Skriniar... for the second time. The Parisian outfit has been chasing the Inter Milan centre defender since the summer transfer window, where they failed to reach a compromise with the Nerazzurri asking for some 70 million euros. Now we know that it could've been no one else but Kylian Mbappé behind that particular objetive, but the Frenchman isn't going to be happy cause PSG is set to miss out again.

PSG? Maybe not yet for Milan Skriniar

When the rumour that Mbappe wanted to leave PSG first broke out, a list of signings he intended the club to make appeared, with Milan Skriniar among them. The Slovakian was one of the Parisian club's objetives for most of the last transfer window, but there was no agreement possible. However, with Skriniar on a expiring deal, many hoped that it was a matter of when and not if the defender would end up wearing PSG bleu. However, now Inter's CEO Giuseppe Marotta has pulled the plug on those hopes.

Asked on what Skriniar's contract situation was, Marotta looked optimistic: "We'll meet with Milan Škriniar agents after the game vs Viktoria Plzen. There are chances to reach an agreement on new deal. He is a top professional and he loves Inter, I'm optimistic - then it's up to him too". It undoubtedly a big blow for PSG's chances of signing the player when he enters the last six months of his deal.

"We are optimistic and confident, but of course it depends on Škriniar and his plans for the future", added the Marotta, "As Inter CEO, I have to be confident on this deal as always". With reports that Skriniar wants to stay at the Giuseppe Meazza, where he feels appreciated and honoured to be the Nerazzurri captain, he has reasons to be happy.

Milan Skriniar has been with Inter Milan since 2017, when he joined from Sampdoria for 34 million euros. Since then he's played over 200 games and established himself as one of the world's best centre defenders.
