Inter looking for SMART BUSINESS to replace Skriniar

The central defender looks to be on his way out, but the Italian club already has a replacement in mind

 Inter Milan have been all over the news lately. The Nerazzurri have been one of the most busy clubs this summer, with the long drawn negotiation that took Romelu Lukaku what to the Giuseppe Meazza, as well as Henrikh Mkhitaryan and André Onana to name a few. However, they've also been on the "losing" side of the market, as they look set to lose one of their defensive stalwarts, Milan Skriniar.

While negotiations for the Slovakian are far from done, Inter are already eyeing his replacement, and it would come from the Bundesliga: Manuel Akanji. The Borussia Dortmund defender has just one year remaining in his contract, which is why the Yellow Wall club would be open to parting with him.

According to German newspaper Sport Bild, it would only take 30 million euros to satisfy the requirements of BVB, which could be great deal for Inter who are currently asking for more than double, 70 million euros, for Skriniar. Although there have been no offers yet, according to Bild all that could change if the deal for the Inter man starts reaching more solid ground.

Manuel Akanji joined Borussia Dortmund in 2018 from FC Basel for 21 million euros, and has since played more than 150 matches for the German club. He's most praised for his skill on the ball and his capacity to build up game from the back, although he's prone to lapses in concentretation.
