UNBELIEVABLE: Another European star joins the MLS in UNEXPECTED move
One the of the world's best will be moving from one of the top clubs in Europe to the MLS
There was a great mystery regarding where he would go, or even if he would continue playing. There were retirement rumours, World Cup hopes, ludicrous offers and even a return to the homeland in the papers, but finally Gareth Bale's new club has been announced.
The former Real Madrid man had said that he had "plenty of offers" on the table following his release from the Spanish club, but the rumours that appeared on the press were far from exciting. Far from the lights of Manchester United, Juventus or PSG, it seemed like it was Spanish midtable side Getafe or Championship Welsh club Cardiff.
It was a possibility that the player had allegedly discarded early on, but now it's reality. However, far from it, it's now official: Gareth Bale will move to the MLS and join Los Angeles FC.
According to reports, Bale has signed a 12 month deal, which could be extended until 2024. Los Angeles FC will have to pay 75,000 dollars to David Beckham's Inter Miami due to MLS regulation for signing Bale, since he was part of their Discovery List, a set of players each MLS franchise has priority on, in case they decide to sign with the league, and which can be forfeited for a fee.
With the addition of Gareth Bale, Los Angeles FC seems to be putting together an all-star team, as they have previously announced the signing of Euro 2021 winner with Italy Giorgio Chiellini.
