The INCREDIBLE tifo by Galatasaray fans

When football fans get together, they can do amazing things. From charity work to defending the game from the greed of the owners, fans will always be up to the task; and they can also bring the show. In a recent game, the fans of Galatasary were celebrating the centennary of the Republic of Turkey and they produced an amazing spectacle.

As everyone who has experienced it will tell you, fans in Turkey are absolutely football mad. While that brings issues some times, it also means atmospheres are some of the best in the continent, and that they are also capable of putting on a show like very few.

In their last game, which had them host Alanyaspor, the Galatasaray produced an espectacular tifo to honour the Republic of Turkey, which will celebrate it's 100th year of existence.

However, surely Galatasaray fans would rather get some sport related celebrations. Despite the arrival of big name signings like Juan Mata, Dries Mertens, Mauro Icardi and Lucas Torreira, their form isn't very good. The historic Turkish club is facing a very bad season, currently sitting 8th in the SuperLig, while derby rivals Fenerbahce are on top of the league, some 5 points ahead.
