 Christopher Nkunku was on the transfer list of half the top European clubs. There were links with PSG, Manchester United and Juventus, but Real Madrid was looking like the biggest candidate after it was leaked that the RB Leipzig man was on the list for Carlo Ancelotti. However, los Blancos could miss out because it seems like Nkunku already chosen Chelsea as his next club.

According to German newspaper Bild, Nkunku passed the medical check with the Blues in Frankfurt last August. The French footballer undertook a medical checks during latter stages of the transfer market while Chelsea was looking at options to replace Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku

In the end, the deal didn't go through and Nkunku extended his contract with Leipzig until 2026. However, it shows that the Frenchman was commited to joining Chelsea and don't throw away the results of those medicals just yet because he may end up joining sooner rather than later.

As reported by Bild, the Blues would be willing to pay the 60 million euros stipulated by Nkunku's release clause for the former PSG man, a deal that would make him Chelsea's third most expensive signing of the season, just behind Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella.

Christopher Nkunku is reportedly one of Chelsea's top choices for bolstering their attack. The Frenchman recorded 35 goals and 20 assists during last season, and his performance so far this campaing has been similar, with six goals and one assist in eleven games for RB Leipzig.
