Chelsea could pay 80 MILLION for him, but he's NOT INTERESTED
The Blues will have an option to take him back, but he doesn't fancy a return to Stamford Bridge
Tammy Abraham left Chelsea looking for better opportunities and found them, but now his youth club could be asking him to return. At least, that's according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, who's suggesting the Chelsea academy product could be back at Stamford Bridge soon, and for a hefty fee.

The talented English striker has managed to make a good life for himself at AS Roma. Having departed Chelsea, like so many Blue youth graduates, looking for more minutes and a more established role at a squad, the now-24 year old found exactly that at the Eternal City, where he's gotten over 60 appearances and scored 29 goals since joining the Giallorossi in 2021.
However, he could be back on the familiar turf of Stamford Bridge very soon according to Romano. As reported, Chelsea had an 80 million euros (£72 million) buy-back clause inserted in the forward's contract when he departed, and it could be activated at any point come summer 2023.
Still, it may very well be that the Blues have overplayed their cards with Abraham. "Tammy is happy at Roma right now, and there are no talks or negotiations with any clubs", wrote Romano in his column.
The striker's relationship with Mourinho could be the key to keeping him with the Giallorossi
"It's really important to mention that he's happy there with Jose Mourinho as manager now - the Portuguese has given him a chance to shine, and it's been an important step for him in his career", adds Romano. With the Giallorossi chasing a Serie A title and the player enjoying life in Rome, it could very well be the case that Tammy Abraham simply has no interest in returning to Chelsea.
