Robert Lewandowski had to wait a long time to seal his move to FC Barcelona, but they may already be giving him reasons to reconsider. The Catalan giants were barely able to register him as a player, and now he's even getting mugged at the club's gates.

When the Polish striker arrived at Barcelona's training facility, Ciutat Esportiva, he had a terrible experience. While he stood at the entrance to sign autographs as usual for fans, a group of thieves took advantage of the chance to open the door of the Pole's car and steal his watch straight from his wrist .

According to a first eyewitness, the thief opened the passenger door of the Golden-Boot winner's vehicle with the intention of stealing his mobile phone and running away. However, later, as reported by Catalan network TV3 citing police sources, the robbery was carried out after the player lowered the window of his vehicle to sign autographs, for three people who pretended to be fans, while a fourth broke in to snatch his watch, a model from the prestigious brande Patek Phillippe valued at 75,000 euros.

The robbers concealed the stolen watch it under a tree, and were then pursued by both Lewandowski and the Mossos, the Catalan police. The Polish player had a minor automobile accident, and the Mossos were ultimately able to retrieve the timepiece. Minutes after the incident, two Mossos d'Esquadra patrol cars showed up at the Ciutat Esportiva, where they remained until after six o'clock.

The robbery serves as further evidence that the club's facilities need stronger security, as it also brings to mind the recent memories of the insults that Frenkie de Jong got while coming at the facility.
