The Portuguese was linked with a move from Manchester City to the Catalan giants for most of the European summer transfer window, but the move ended up going to nothing, with Silva finally declaring he was happy to remain with the Sky Blues.

However, it may not be for long. Reports are coming out now that Barcelona are reigniting their interest in the creative attacking midfielder, and are already working on a bid to adquire his services as soon as possible. 

According to reports, the Blaugranas are preparing a bid to sing Bernardo Silva as soon as the January transfer window opens, with Spanish newspaper Sport claiming that the days of economic levers and fear over the LaLiga wage cap a thing of the past, which would mean Barcelona could make an offer big enough to tempt Manchester City to let go of the Portuguese star.
