The Gunners are working to find clubs to these two players, but there seem to be no interest out there

 With the clock ticking as the summer transfer window comes to a close, some clubs are still working, and Arsenal is one of them. The Gunners did good and early business this off season, adding the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira and Oleksandr Zinchenko to their squad, but they're still working to shift away the players they don't need, like Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Hector Bellerin.

Mikel Arteta invested a lot of money in his team this summer, and he has determined that the pair are no longer needed. The Gunners are looking to lower their wage expenses by letting go of several players who haven't played yet in the new season. 

Arsenal loaned out both Maitland-Niles and Bellerin last season, and they are both greenlit to permanently leave the Emirates before the deadline day on September 1. However, the Gunners are having trouble finding suitors for the unwanted pair, so technical director Edu Gaspar may need to be inventive if he wants to get them off the payroll.

In the case of Ainsley Maitland-Niles, reports say the Gunners are looking to trigger the one-year extension he has in his contract, looking to loan him out again in the hopes of finding a better deal down the line.

However, when it comes to Hector Bellerin there seems to be no solution. The Spanish right-back spent the previous season on a successful loan at Real Betis and is anxious to return to the La Liga team permanently, but the two clubs have been unable to come to an agreement, with Betis unable to afford a deal to permanently sign the full-back. Despite rumours linking him with a move to Barcelona, things remain stalled for the 27-year-old.
