The lower tiers of football has that amateur feeling that allows stories out of the ordinary to happen. In the Primera B, the third level of Argentine football, one of these transpired and what happened is surely a record in world football. Argentino de Quilmes had repeated problems with their goalkeeper and ended up using four goalkeepers in the same match, the two who were called up for the match and two outfield players.

Surely if they tell you this story you will think that it is a joke, but this is real and it happened in the third category of Argentine football. Defensores Unidos received Argentino for matchday 17 of the  Primera B and the visit had to change their goalkeeper four times. The goalkeeper is a position in which changes aren't made often, but in this match, Argentino de Quilmes suffered a series of unfortunate episodes and was forced to change goalkeepers on several occasions.

The starting goalkeeper, Fernando Vijande, suffered from dizziness and had to leave the field at the start of the first half. Minutes before the end of the match, Sergio Meli, who had replaced Vijande, stopped a Defensor Unidos attack with a reckless foul that ended with him seeing the red card.

Without any goalkeepers left for said match, Argentino had to improvise with Nicolás Morro, central defender of the team who was encouraged to put on his gloves. The maneuver did not work, because Morro was not having a good afternoon in his new role and had already received two goals. With this scenario, coach Juan Carlos Kopriva decided to try his luck for the second time and subbed in Matías Ormart, another defender, to the goal.

Ormart played the final 15 minutes of the match and made good interventions that allowed Argentino de Quilmes not to receive any more goals, losing the match 4-1 against Defensores. Surely, this Primera B game gave us the most unusual stories in football history.
